Wine 0.9.40 Released

Wine 0.9.40 was released today, with the following main changes:

  • A few more sound fixes.
  • Many Direct3D fixes.
  • Lots of bug fixes.

Wine 0.9.39 Released

Wine 0.9.39 was released today, with the following main changes:

  • Many MSHTML improvements.
  • Several improvements to the sound support.
  • A number of Winsock fixes.
  • Several new supported constructs in the IDL compiler.
  • Many Direct3D threading fixes.
  • Lots of bug fixes.

CrossOver® 6.1

June 4, 2007

We're a bit late in reporting this, but CodeWeavers released version 6.1 of their CrossOver products on May 15th. You can read the press release and announcement on their website. Version 6.0 brought the addition of gaming support; this release continues that trend by including support for EVE Online and more games playable through Steam, such as Call of Duty 2. Outlook picked up some changes to enable better remote connectivity. All in all, it sounds like there's a bunch of new functionality, so it's probably worth checking out.

CodeWeavers Unveils CrossOver® 6.0, for Mac and Linux

CodeWeavers announced the release of CrossOver 6.0 for Mac and Linux. Several new applications and games are now supported and existing supported apps have had extensive bug fixes. The big news most people will find exciting is the added support for Outlook 2003, World of Warcraft, and a range of Steam based games such as Half-Life 2.

Users of Intel based Mac systems can now seamlessly run many Windows applications on their Mac without needing a Windows license. Supported applications include Outlook, Visio, Project, Quicken, Steam based games such as Half Life 2, and many more.
