go with mike's advice for now.  they are in the middle of a big rewrite of
window management, so it could be that until this gets done, we are going to get
a lot of bugs like this.  Perhaps we should put a note in wwn about that.. 
Something along the lines of "As many of you know we are in the process of doing
a major overhaul to the wine windowing code.  As this progresses, we expect many
regressions to occur, but most of them should be fixed when this is complete. 
Please continue to report bugs, but expect that this will get worse before it
gets better, with most applications having problems at one point or another."
should do...

As far as the length of time for completion of the overhaul... Think about how
long it took to do dll separation... now multiply that by 1.5...  or think
adding strict to the compile and multiply that by 5...
