I ran a git regression on this and came up with:

    ntdll: Better support for NT path names in wine_nt_to_unix_file_name.

    Don't map NT namespace 1:1 to Unix, add a magic \??\unix device instead.
    More generic support for \??\ devices, with fallback to the wineserver
    for paths that don't exist.
