I'm having the same issues personally and have considered it to possibly be a
font issue because I know the people I am sending the message to are receiving
it.  I sent a message to my dad telling him to call me because I couldn't see
messages and he called.  So I am guessing that its an issue based around that,
I haven't run an API spy on the chat window any but I can bet its probably some
proprietary  kind of rich text deal.  If that is the case then I imagine it
won't be too easy of a fix for the great developers at wine.

Good luck but for me, I'll just sign off steam friends and deal with it and
keep watching here until its confirmed as working again.
