Well, the installer extracts files, you shortly might see a "copying files"
dialog flashing and then it ends.
Did you expect some setup dialog/interaction/"install successful" after
accepting EULA?
This "quick end" is how the installer works and is of course *expected*
behaviour.

Please go to "c:\windows\winsxs" and look for any directories and files related
to VC80 runtime (msvc?80.dll)
If that is the case, the installation was successful.
