Sorry, I can't fix this in Etch or Feisty.  It is already fixed in Ubuntu
Gutsy, however.

The reason is that there is no 32 bit openssl lib in Debian - it is simply
missing from the ia32-libs package.  Etch users will simply have to wait until
Debian decides to fix it - hopefully they'll add libssl0.9.8 to the list of
ia32-libs packages by Lenny.

Unless someone can provide a patch that somehow circumvents the problem of not
having a 32 bit ssl lib to build against, this one will remain unfixed in Etch.
