Yeah.  And worse, just running 
  wine python 
doesn't give you the python prompt properly.

Running it in wineconsole doesn't either, until you hit ^C.

This is the case with both python-2.4.2 and python-2.5.1,
and both wine-0.9.9 and current git.  

(We should NOT need wineconsole to run commandline apps like python, btw.
Every few months somebody breaks this.  But since the problem
seems to happen in both wine and wineconsole, I'm not going to push
the panic button on that rant yet.)
