Ok I followed the regression test instructions. I got the git-core and
installed ccache as it said to for my Ubuntu. It all seemed to install without
a hitch but I may have missed something my I can't identify because of my lack
of experience. After running the Bisect the end result looks like something
blew up somewhere in the process I can't identify. It doesn't match up with
what I think the instructions were saying.

This is what I got is this from the step to run the program(Carrara5Pro).(note
the instructions use of "./wine" was rejected by Terminal so I used "wine" to
install and run the program)

mariko at mariko:~/wine-git$ wine "C:\Program Files\Eovia\Carrara 5
Pro\Carrara.exe"
fixme:process:GetProcessWorkingSetSize (0xffffffff,0x33fb80,0x33fb84): stub
fixme:wininet:InternetGetConnectedState always returning LAN connection.
err:d3d:InitAdapters Failed to get gl HDC
err:d3d:InitAdapters Failed to get gl HDC

At this point it hung and my "mariko at mariko:~/wine-git$" prompt never came
back. In fact I got no prompt of any kind at this point. The bug was still
present so I tried the "git bisect bad" in the instructions anyways and
Terminal just froze. Sigh. I'm gutsy enough to do unfamiliar things but perhaps
it's a little early in my three weeks of Linux experience to be trying to do
this kind of problem solving yet. My apologies I believe I may be over my head
at the moment.
