Julliard himself told me the fix for this on irc:

create a directory
x86_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.0.0_none_deadbeef in
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/winsxs.

Then put the comctl32 in there, and it should work again.
