hmmm, no success making a regression test from my box at home:

git clone git://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git wine-git
defaulting to local storage area

fatal: write error (Connection timed out)

no proxy, no firewall (maybe Arcor closed the port as well as
some other things...) sorry.
