I am using PlayOnLinux, and there it was required to copy the fonts also to the
".PlayOnLinux/fonts" and the
".PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/Office2003/drive_c/windows/fonts" directories (or your
corresponding directories).
I noticed that the font names on my XP installation ("C:\WINDOWS\Fonts") were
different than the font names in my wine font folders. Example:
XP="timesbd.ttf", wine="Times_New_Roman_Bold.ttf". I simply copied over the
fonts from XP to the wine/PlayOnLinux font folders and removed the old ones
with the long names. That worked for me.
What's the reason for the font names of different length in wine?
