For me this issue still persists in wine version 0.9.60. (built from source on
64bit gentoo)
Tested with nvidia driver version 169.09.

Alpha blending does not seem to work correctly, instead textured objects which
are supposed to be alpha blended are rendered opaque. This observation also
matches previously posted descriptions and screenshots of this problem.
