sounds much more likely. It shouldn't be necessary to reinstall the demo each
time, since the problem isn't in the install, but rather in wine's X11 driver.

Can you see if compiling at 2472e81cea2854d0dd2f491f88852c6667ead9c9 fixes the
problem?
