The -minvidmem 0 requirement went away after patching to 1.71.  I had
Wine->Direct3D->VideoMemorySize set before and after so there is a chance that
it may rely on that even after applying patch 1.71.

I had to apply the change in that fps patch (shader recompile hack) to
yesterdays development git in order to get things to work.  The trees looked
pretty dismal and terrain quite bare.  My attempts to bump up settings to
compare results ended up in a hung game.
