I think it's not, actually. I think this bug is entirely a pulseaudio problem.
I just tagged it based on the error message. I have changed the component to
"unknown."

And I should have included the workaround, which is to disable or remove
pulseaudio. 

Right now DNS crashes with pulseaudio, and a fix depends on getting pulseaudio
to work better with all non-gnome applications, not just wine. In view of this,
maybe we should change the status of this bug to "remind" or "won't fix."

In fact, DNS works better, and will always work better, without a pulseaudio
layer between it and alsa, but there may be people who want pulseaudio for
other things.

Now, having said that, there is a bug in gdiplus. That bug is different from
this bug, and also from the fix you supplied. I will file another bug for that
but have to do some more research first. :)
