looks like the app needs some interface from quartz as well.

Could you try if it gets further with native quartz.dll 

( An easy way to test is doing 

'wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks directx9'

then also do 'regsvr32 quartz'

Beware that winetricks directx9 sets lots of dlls to native, so to help testing
further, better try this on some 'test ~/.wine'
