You live without it. It works for some people, it doesn't for others. Some
people can get it working by resizing windows, causing them to repaint, others
can't. For other people, it just works. For some, it works, then it stops
working. If you really need Steam Friends to be reliable, your best option is
to dual boot with Windows.
