Hello,

I suggest to close this bug.
Tested the installer - there are no showstopper bugs.
The bug reporter most like operated on broken WINEPREFIX.

As already indicated by Louis, you only need a clean WINEPREFIX and 'winetricks
dotnet20 vcrun2005sp1' step.

Version 8 of the app needs the updated VC 8.0 runtime -> SP1.
The msi installer looks specifically for it: product code
{7299052b-02a4-4627-81f2-1818da5d550d}.
If not present it will download and install the VC8 SP1 redistributables
properly (as long as you don't mess with winver).
As usual: don't let apps download/install the required .NET Framework runtime,
use winetricks.
