drag&drop is a very important feature because it enables to interoperate
between x11 and windows in a very intuitive way.

I'm not sure to post here... but I have a similar problem. In KDE 4 xdnd
doesn't work anymore. See http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16609
