When using Visual C++ 6.0 Enterprise with the Synergy mouse and keyboard
sharing program, after you open a source code file, the program crashes with a
BadAtom error from Xlib.

X Error of failed request:  BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter)
  Major opcode of failed request:  17 (X_GetAtomName)
  Atom id in failed request:  0x0
  Serial number of failed request:  793
  Current serial number in output stream:  801

If Synergy is not used, there is no problem.
