My apologies..

Sorry for not being descriptive enough... wine does not "lock up my system" I
can remote in and issue a killall X, but WINE certainly does freeze/lock/crash
(and I am in fullscreen, oddly enough ctrl alt bkscp or ctrl anl f1 does not
work...). Also just to be thorough I am not running as root.

> More than likely, you have buggy/incorrect video drivers (ATI).

As stated the system has remained relatively the same (changing versions of
some packages of course) for the past few years, but just to clarify I am using
the latest nvidia binary drivers.

Personally my next step is to go back in wine versions and see if there is a
change in behavior. This will take me some time though as compiling wine is a
lengthy process for me, the error sometimes takes time to present itself, and I
have less time for gaming right now.

Thank for the help. Sorry for not being so clear in my initial posting,
-Ian

Note: My other machine (that has wow on it) is stable. It has 0.9.35 (most
likely a git build from the same time frame) on it. This will be my first "roll
back" version I jump to when I have the time to play some wow.
