The application worked under Ubuntu 6.06 and even wine 0.9.53, however, for the
same wine 0.9.53 under Ubuntu 7.10 it doesn't work, I think because the
application was originally installed in Ubuntu 6.06 (which is installed in
another partition) before a wine upgrade to 0.9.53, that is, the application
was installed under a previous wine, which I suppose was released around
October 2006. Therefore, I tried to install wine 0.9.23 from source (since
there is no package for Ubuntu 7.10, I suppose using package from Ubuntu 6.06
would break the system?) but when try to run wine get "segmentation fault".
Tryed also from source wine 0.9.22 but same problem.

So I returned to wine 0.9.23 and, according to the readme file, must be
compiled using gcc 2.7.2.3. So I installed gcc-2.7.2.3-19 available from the
Ubuntu package repository; I made the necessary changes so the compiler used is
actually gcc-2.7.2.3. Nevertheless, I can't go further, when execute 'make' I
get the erros some erros, please see the attached file: erros while doing
'make' - wine 0.9.23.
