please,try newest nvidia-driver version (also, are you really have HW
acceleration ?) and make sure all correct in SetupTool.ini and you have
d3dx9_30.dll.
is your nocd work in natural environment ?

anyway you have not much chances to play on 0.9.54 or 0.9.55, see
