"Cossacks: Euopean Wars" are affected by this bug too. In wine 0.9.55 I got
black screen with gdi (default) renderer and white with opengl one.

Wine 0.9.56 Solved this partially, game now renders (with gdi and opengl), but
screen is updated only when you click menu items. I've uploaded screenshots and
test data for European Wars, but they are not accepted yet.
