confirming punkbuster is not functional with Battlefield 1942 1.6x

the default install  will work but after about 20 minutes it updated and
disconnected me with the message 'PunkBuster kicked player "foo"' 'RESTRICTION.
Service Communication Failure. PnKBstrB.exe initialization failed'
