As mentioned in bug 7679, it used to be possible to get IMVU to work if we use
the native mfc42.dll and dbghelp.dll. E.g. this works with
wine_0.9.46-0ubuntu1_i386.

However with wine_0.9.52~winehq0~ubuntu~7.10-1_i386, it will crash when a 3D
window is opened (if OpenGL or DirectX acceleration is selected). If such
acceleration is not used, it won't crash, but the window will be monocrome or
all funny colours.

The crash appears to be caused by:
DRM_I830_CMDBUFFER: -22
