OK I confess, I can not remember the exact version but around the version
0.9.37 of Wine it was possible to install Flash 8 directly with wine without
any additional tweaking (like copying files from Windows installation)- so
before Wine version 0.9.37 a did not try the help, becuase Flash was not
installable. 
I can confirm that about Wine 0.9.38 - 0.9.39 I begun testing Flash 8 on my
project work in Linux. Here it occured to me that the help had problems, like
showing search queries etc (which were solved by the new wine gecko
engine...)...But this bug was present there, after succesfull search selecting
the search query made flash 8 stop responding and in the console there was this
loop...
