Do we have a workaround for this?  I tried playing around with the softvol but
got nowhere.  I believe that is due to my inexperience and the lack of good
documentation about setting up a dsnoop softvol.

I've had two different USB headsets, and this one has stopped both from working
with the mic.

Does anyone know if this is a regression and when it was introduced?  It seems
to hit every USB headset, or do some work?

I'll keep researching and seeing what I can find.
