[Bug 11937] Carom3d hangs on startup

About the coment of  Louis Lenders that this bug could be related to nvidia
drivers, maybe it is. I was using an onboard video card (intel ones) and was
running this same version of Wine 1.0 in my Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron and carom3d
5.01 was running great on it, just a little slow!! Then i decided to buy a
powerfull video card and chose a Geforce 8600 GT, hoping that carom3d would run
better on it. BUT for my surprise it didn't work! I had the same bug as you,
carom simply hangs on startup and gives me no error...

I didn't do anything different at installation! I just changed my video
card...isn't that weird?

I am attaching a file created by winedbg and all the information required by
this link (http://www.winehq.org/site/docs/wineusr-guide/bug-reporting), hope
you help us making this game work again =):

1. Wine version

wine-1.0

2. Linux system:

Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron - released in April 2008
Linux version 2.6.24-16-generic
gcc version 4.2.3

3. Windows version used with wine:

Windows XP (Default Settings)
OBS: I copied a dll called mfc42.dll of my Windows XP which is running in dual
boot to the system32 folder of my Wine installation in order to install the
game.

4. The exact command line i used to start wine:

neverstop at neverstop-desktop:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Neoact/Carom3D$ wine
carom.exe

5. The game can be downloaded here:

http://carom3d.gameis.com/download/download_client_0.asp

Download the FULL VERSION.

6. Here is the log file created by winedbg with by command:

echo quit | WINEDEBUG=+relay wine carom.exe >& filename.out; tail -n 100
filename.out > report_file
