I see why I didn't have it - I set "OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo". Without that
(with default being backbuffer) I'm getting the same message.

I'm not sure there is anything could be done here. the R5G6B5 mode is a 16-bit
mode. Wine can't switch BPP since X does not support that. And backbuffer works
with the screen color depth only.

So I'm guessing this one is a won't fix.
