Guys, I don't know if this helps, but if you have Advanced Compiz installed you
can switch on Maximuse, and also tweak a few settings in "Extra WM Actions" to
assign "Always On Top" with "Super" key + TAB. 

I tried this, and when I go 'F' on my image within Photoshop to get
'fullscreen' on the canvas, I can "Super" + "TAB" to get the UBUNTU taskbar
back. It also occassionally fix the 'save as' dialogs and they pop up "on top"
of the canvas. 

Hope this helps, and I also hope this get looked at soon, it really helps to
attract seasoned photoshoppers to WINE + UBUNTU if this is fixed.
