I work on an Open Source project, and I'm always interested in fixing bugs, but
I tend to give priority to the ones that seem to be affecting the most people. 
I think that we're just trying to let the developers know it's affecting us so
that they _may_ decide to prioritize it over other bugs.  Whether or not they
do is entirely up to them.
