           Summary: Pro/Engineer 2001 Student/Personal Edition no longer
                    runs
           Product: Wine
           Version: 0.9.61.
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: P2
         Component: -unknown
        AssignedTo: wine-bugs at winehq.org
        ReportedBy: pfederighi at yahoo.com

Previous to Wine 0.9.5x (sorry I can't be more specific) Pro/E 2001
Student/Personal Edition was running rather well and was usable for many things
without crashing. I recently upgraded to Wine 0.9.57 and it stopped working
altogether. That is, it would display the splash screen, remove the splash
screen and then nothing would happen. There were no warnings, errors, etc. -
not even any stub/fixme messages.

Yesterday I updated Wine to 0.9.61 hoping that would fix the problem, but
unfortunately it didn't. I also tried a fresh Wine directory with a fresh
install of Pro/E (with modified batch files so that it'll run under Wine), but
still no luck.

So far as installing goes, it will only install if the Windows version is set
to win95 or win98. Anything greater than that and the installer will complain
that it can't get write access to the Program Files directory.

So far as running goes, it has run the same no matter what the Windows version
was set to.

When it did run, right before starting, wine would spit out four lines of some
stub function that was getting called.

If you need a copy of my modified startup batch file or a copy the install disk
for testing purposes, let me know.
