I just downloaded the demo (from gamezone as gamershell didn't work).  The demo
has more problems than the dvd version but run with -d3d_draw,-d3d the first
part was playable.

Yes, the demo does have the same problems but it's much harder to hear them
while playing but if you just leave the title screen up you'll notice that the
background "music" often gets stuck in a loop.
