Crash output of 0.9.29

The results of my regression test:

B&W doesn't work for me with 0.9.29 at all (that's as far as I got). It creates
the window, makes it black, then crashes.

Note that to compile 0.9.29 on my Debian/unstable system, I had to apply a
couple of patches:

So maybe someone else could suggest a fix, or try their own regression test?
