I get the same message with 0.9.61 freshly compiled on a different server.  I
did get the vc80 file earlier as well.  I tried it on the new install too.  One
of the mods on the playsaga.com forums suggested I check the network settings
in the ini in the Saga folder but that didn't show any options beyond the ip
address of the saga servers unfortunately.  Seems like the game can't open a
network connection in linux.
