Can you reproduce the same problem with native dinput? I've tested demo blood2
and  don't see much difference between native and builtin dinput.

What I see is horrible frame rate which is a regression somewhere between
wine-0.9.44 and wine-0.9.45 most likely in ddraw/d3d. Because they all use the
single lock in x11drv it's a direct relation between bad frame rate and not
getting mouse events on time.
