Yes, several times. I re-downloaded a clean git tree too, but got the same
error.

My gcc is 3.4.6 for the moment, I'm going to install 4.3.0 and give it a go
with -m32.

My cross-compiler was installed with crosstool
(http://www.kegel.com/crosstool/), awesome tool by the way!
