[Bug 9771] Steam Friends doesn't work (fails to render correctly or refresh )

The Steam Friends Chat-Window always contains a "link" called "Never tell your
password to anyone".

After clicking on it i can see my own message even the new lines i write after
that. It opens up a error dialog but you can close it simply with ok.

Messages from others get visible after clicking that "link" again. And i can
refresh it and see new messages always after clicking on it.
