i tried it and can confirm the bug. looks like rather this is the culprit:
fixme:dsound3d:IDirectSound3DListenerImpl_QueryInterface Unknown IID
{31efac30-515c-11d0-a9aa-00aa0061be93}

i hacked to just return S_OK instead of E_NO_INTERFACE in sound3d.c, and then
it got a tiny bit ( 1 sec!) further. With native quartz it got again about 2
seconds further, and i could actually hear the sound starting.

Then it stopped with
fixme:dsound:DSPROPERTY_Description1
(pPropData=0x32e7ec,cbPropData=40,pcbReturned=0x32e814) GUID_NULL not
implemented!
wine: Unhandled stack overflow at address 0x762ca3bd (thread 0009), starting
debugger...
Most likely a dsound bug
