I've followed the "How to" (found here:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=14322&iTestingId=33320)
related to the game applying these two patches to wine version 1.1.8

The game installs fine.
The launcher works fine.
The problem is when the game itself attempts to start, nothing appears on the
"screen" (in windowed mode) and it will simply hang there until I interrupt it.

I'm running ubuntu gnome, AMD Sempron CPU with an nVidia GeForce 5200 FX
Graphics card. If you need anything else just ask, I'm pretty eager to resolve
this and start playing F3 finally.
