More on video - for the ATI system (which "works"), I'm seeing "radeon" and
ati_agp" in the lsmod output (I assume that's what you're asking for).  For the
non-working system (i.e. the one with the flashing screen), lspci indicates
"Intel 82945G/GZ" and lsmod shows "intel_agp" and "i915".

Again, I've switched to the ATI box for testing, since I'm getting the clean
screen with v1.1.9 and Ubuntu 8.10.  BTW, Beyond TV Link v4.9 was released
yesterday, but I'm sticking with 4.8.2 for now since the former requires .NET
3.0, which doesn't work with wine.  I don't see the old version available for
download, so let me know if you need help getting a copy
