I confirm this error, but my machine has problems ATM that prevent me from
testing.

Please try the following.

After first running the game, this file is created:

~/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/All\ Users/Application\
Data/2DBoy/WorldOfGoo/pers2.dat

It is the savegame file. Maybe it causes the problems.
Backup and delete it, then run the game again.
