Just a note that I reinstalled Wine and then reinstalled Ventrilo and it works
just fine.

I could not uninstall Ventrilo, even though it appeared to uninstall
successfully.  However, after the "successful" un-install, when attempting to
install, it did the thing where it knows the program is installed and asks you
if you want to repair/remove/something else - instead of the install option you
get the first time.
