"Austin, I've given up on this. My computer had an Intel 865 chipset
motherboard in it, which I recently upgraded to a G43. Windows 98 will not run
at all on a G43. I downloaded trial versions of Adobe Audition, 1.0, 1.5, and
2.0. Only 1.5 would run under wine, so I purchased a full version of it at
Amazon.com. I no longer run Cool Edit, it went away with my Windows 98 system.

Maybe wine will get fixed some day and will run Cool Edit, but it's too late
for me.

It's got a download available, so let's keep it open, but if it ever goes
missing, let's close it abandoned.
