Exception log generated by Eudora 7.1.0.9

I've had Eudora 7.1.0.9 running on several flavours of Ubuntu until it got to
8.10.

it ran there for a bit and then started giving an error message when started.
"Unhandled Exception".

Same thing in the latest 9.04

Now the earlier version 6.2.5.6 runs just fine.

Attached is the Exception Log.
