For reference, here are some threads from the Steam forums mentioning this
problem. It seems the mods there don't realise that this is a
server-configuration problem, and believe these users have distrusted
Verisign...

As such, I'm not sure this is a Wine bug per. se, although I don't know if
there's actually a method to add certificates to wine-gecko's certificate
store.
