Chrome UI -- 1.1.27 (Ubuntu)

Running the bug in 1.1.27 the interface renders correctly, but occasional
flashes of black and other visual glitches appear when area focus changes (eg
clicking in an input box).

The connectivity problems persist; I cannot leave about:blank.

Maximizing Chrome causes the interface to compact into an about 50x50 pixel box
in the upper-right of the screen (I needed to unmaximize from the window list
to restore the UI).

The log errors are similar to those presented in the bug reports, so I'm not
attaching a new version.
