You could start by disabling virtual desktop and testing again something like
this, which will abort after 60 seconds and capture the console output to
log.txt, so you can attach it as a file here.  Ofcourse, you'll need to modify
the path and executable name.  Also post which video card and drivers you have.

cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/ProjectEden
wine eden.exe 2> log.txt &
sleep 60;wineserver -k
