Hack to avoid crash

I believe this confirms that the bug is in inetmib1 (sorry, no inetmib1
component.)  With this applied, it no longer crashes.  This is the same hack
which fixes bug 18786, although as I argued there, I'm certain it isn't
correct.  I just don't know what the correct fix is:  I don't really understand
the problem yet.
